STANDing,  thin;
between Broadway and 6th.
Looking west, going east,
downtown fits in.
I squeeze by.

The damp air awakens sun bleached bones.
Saturated, the spirit larger than the limits,
Wind-sprayed, the face is of unseen debris.
Yesterday's Post clings to the meter.
Fur and cardboard live side by side.

And I squeeze by,
somewhere between,
East and West,
Up and Down,
Sky and Earth,
Male and Female.

Far from the Plains,
                the tall grass,
                the high hills,
The moon still slides past the Sun,
where weather is felt between
                 slices of concrete,
I squeeze by.
I am home.
